2019 Skoda Spaceback (Rapid) SUV Redesign, Release Date, Price, & Spy Shots – As our spy shots have previously shown, the successor to the Rapid Spaceback is previously in its late development phases, even though the first sightings were actually really the latest. And in accordance to German publication Auto Bild, its debut is scheduled for December in Israel. The new hatchback won’t be known as “Rapid” like its predecessor, even though the Spaceback name might be kept to transmission its hatchback body style. The proportions must be quite close to the concept, with a 4.34m length and 2.65m wheelbase.
That’s rather big, considering it can reportedly be based on the MQB A0 platform, as we earlier suspected. That doesn’t really mean it’s produced from the VW Polo, exactly that particular parts may be carried over, like wall mirrors, electronic products or engines. Our provider also thinks the Spaceback could have an SUV twin, maintaining the length and wheelbase the exact same, but including a bigger body. This was already previewed by the Vision X concept in Geneva.
Looking back at a story from March 2018, we also professed the Vision X would discuss a big version of the MQB A0 platform with the next Rapid. And coincidentally, its wheelbase matches up completely. Regrettably, the complex plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.5 TGI gas-eliminating engine and rear-installed e-motor won’t allow it to be into generation. But the CNG-suitable turbo will, in addition to all the familiarized 3- and 4-cylinder VW Group engines with up to all around 150 horsepower.
When the Rapid successor will go into creation next year, the SUV model will require a tiny longer to create, coming in 2020. The brand won’t e “Polar,” as gossips suggested many years in the past, but alternatively, start with a K and stopping with a Q.
