2020 CADILLAC ESCALADE STEALTH WITH SPORTS EDITION REVIEW
The Sports Edition gets a black grille, black windowpane moldings, and black body side moldings. Additionally, it features dark-finished 22-inch wheels as standard equipment. Buyers can opt for the Sports Edition treatment on all trims other than the base model. Which means it’s available on the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum models.
“Two generations right after its launch, the Escalade remains the segment’s standard and sales head,” Cadillac leader Steve Carlisle mentioned in a current assertion. “The Sports Edition runs that momentum in response to client and dealership desire for a dark and hostile appearance.” Cadillac launched the existing-generation Escalade in 2020, but this is the first time it’s supplying a special edition. The special edition arrives at an opportune time to boost attendance in a more mature model as Lincoln attempts to take the limelight with its new Navigator. All Escalades come with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine great for 420 hp and paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The introduction of a special Escalade model will come under a week after General Motors released it might discontinue six cars, including the Cadillac CT6 and XTS, and set off 15 percent of its salaried staff. The move is meant to pivot the company’s focus away from cars towards SUVs and crossovers. The Escalade has traditionally been a high-income-margin vehicle for GM, so supplying a new special edition appears to line up with Cadillac’s technique to improve earnings by $1 billion by 2020.
